Joanne Barry graduated with a Masters in Science from the University of Delaware/Winterthur Museum training program in Art Conservation. The paintings conservation studio has been in private practice since 2000, treating 18th and 19th century paintings.

Joanne has continued her education in the field by attending conservation workshops such as, New Methods of Cleaning taught by Richard Wolbers, in 1996 and 2001

In 2005, Joanne was awarded the Samuel Gaillard Stoney Conservation Craftsmanship, Award - for her work in the historic city of Charleston S.C.

In 1998, Joanne was hired by the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. Joanne has completed internships at both the Fine Arts Museum of SanFrancisco and the Museum of American Art at the Academy of Fine Art in Philadelphia. She has worked on the collections of; the Greenville County Museum, the Coca-Cola Company, the Charleston Renaissance Gallery, and the Historic Charleston Foundation, the Nantucket Historical Association, and many private collectors in the southeastern United States.

Joanne also has experience in the filed of textile conservation and has worked at the Cathedral Church of St. John The Divine, NYC as a textile conservation intern treating 18th century tapestries.
